My quirk for Renee.
I like to play with tape. It's a carry over from when I used to suck my thumb. It's my stress ball. I pull a little lenght of tape off the roll. I roll it up and then roll it between my fingers or put it on my lips like a small smoke. It's become such a habit I don't even know it's going on.

I'm thinking of Ezzie's love of his Nuk and hoping I don't have a third grader with one on my hands. Nuks are creepier than a thumb.

Garion had his nuk until he was 2, and we just started to limit his use to bed and car, then took away car, then took away bed. We're down to bed and car with Holden, but he seems to want to hold on to it as long as possible too. Tough love sucks, but sometimes it's needed.
We also put up a calendar for Garion with a month on it, and if he did two weeks in a row with no nuk he got a prize. Let Ezra put the sticker on the calendar when he goes nuk less and I bet he'll kick it in a couple weeks too.
