Mal was wandering through the ship, as he tended to do in an evening, but stopped as he walked into the galley. "Someone's happy," he said, looking at Zoe with some surprise. "Ain't ever heard you singin' before."

Zoe looks over at Mal, smile not quite gone from her face. "Guess I am happy, sir. Been a good week. Ain't got shot once."

"We've had plenty of weeks where we ain't got shot at," Mal pointed out, pouring a drink for himself, then glancing at Zoe, asking her silently if she wanted one. "Still ain't no reason to be singin'."

She nods, then lays flat the rag she was using to dry with so it can air out.

"Wasn't singin'. I was hummin'." Then she shrugs. "Guess I'm just happy. And please name two consecutive weeks in a row, guns didn't get fired."
