Heh. Kathy's the one who got me started on the Anita Blake series. She'd bring them to me every week in Latin class and I'd bring her the one I had just devoured. This was before I'd even met Blond or anyone else, I think. Who would have thought that a fictional series with sadomasochism and lycanthropic sex would be nostalgic? My reaction is in keeping with the first guy in the comic though.
