In the interest of educating everyone of the situation with Josh Boyd, here is the story as I know it to be true.
I sincerely apologize if this is new news to anyone... this is not the best way to find out. But after the phone call I received this morning from
k1nky , it is best that the info is out there. Feel free to cross post.
Here is what we know of the situation and events:
What we know is that his company was on patrol and they came across a bomb that went off.
Many people in his company were killed, but he survived. His leg was amputated at the hip and his arm at the elbow. He is currently having issues with his kidneys processing the toxins from the event. He will most likely be on dialisys (sp).
He will most likely be sent to Fort Sam Houston when he is well enough to make the trip.
We should all be grateful that he is alive. I know that everyone is. It is going to take a long time for him to heal, but with the support of his friends it should be a slightly easier road. We look forward to having him home and safe as soon as possible.
