It's critical to question the media. I didn't really have time on my hands, but I couldn't focus on work until I got this off my chest (to cnn). I feel much, much better. :)
You know, not too long ago... wait, actually about 40 years ago now; T'was the medias goal to inform the public and question authority. Newspapers especially, radio, but with the onset of television information was able to get all over the place quickly. The media at the time claimed to only want the truth. They sought after it, got it - using the law and the money that backed them, and then reported it to us as fairly as they possibly could. Now everything has changed. Now individuals with no huge machine behind them must fight their own battles against the media which is now being used to incapacitate the public by the very people it used to question... *sigh*, well back to WoW =D
You make a very good point on our socioligical evolution and - what I believe to be - the coresponding biological evolution. If you are interested in discussing this, perhaps Saturday would be a good time? :)

This problem with the media and modern journalism on a whole is the reason I don't watch or read the news, I just dont trust it.

You SHOULDN'T trust them. That's not just a good thing, but it is your right AND your responsibility. And it took me many years to understand and embrace the satisfaction of PROVING that I can't trust them. Keeps me sane. Picking through the bullshit, actually discovering the truth and then calling them out is better than sex.

you hve far more energy than I do with regards to this sort of thing. I just get pissed off but have no ability to focus that anger in a functional way for this type of thing. I am glad we have you sugar.
