1. Humans aren't meant to eat meat (as in, physio-wise).
2. Meat is kind of unhealthy (it's dead flesh with denatured enzymes in your warm, moist digestive system...)
3. Plant fats are healthier than animal fats! Means a healthier heart.
4. A vegetarian diet isn't very restrictive.
5. You feel more energetic because less energy is spent digesting your meat!
6. Less strain on your liver and pancreas for dealing with meat.
7. Lower probability of taking in too much protein (and hence saving the trouble of deamination).
8. Saves you from a lot of possible diseases and ailments (e.g. gout, osteoporosis, acne).
9. Saves a lot of water (for the same amount of protein it takes 15 times more water for an animal source) and there's less water pollution!
10. Saves rainforests that would have been cleared for grazing land.
11. Livestock (especially cattle) produce a lot of greenhouse gases!
Today I went to a lot of places! I went for guitar lesson and found out it was actually a holiday so I hopped onto a 410 which took me to Bishan and I went to the library to borrow books :D Then I took 156 and changed to 980 which took me to Novena and I walked around the 3 squares (Novena Square, United Square and Square 2)! Looked at sports stuff and stationery heehee. After that it was off to Yishun on 851. Didn't do much at Yishun, actually. Bought hairbands. And last but not least to Queensway on 855 to look for home organisation stuff at Ikea :)
And very coincidentally, Novena, Yishun and Queensway are places that I've stayed at before :D Talk about a trip down memory lane! Whee hahaha how eventful today was. HAHAHA quite fun lah :) I'm excited about starting on room organisation yay :D
