Hi there - a few weeks ago you posted a question in subsequent pregnancy. I was just wondering if your little one arrived yet, and how labor went for you? I'm nearing the same situation - lost my first at 18 weeks, had to go through labor/delivery, and am now 37w tomorrow with my second. I am really curious to hear how your experience went!
Hi there! I just had the baby last sunday, at 37 weeks 6 days. A few scares -- the cord was around his neck, and his heartrate dropped every time I pushed, so he ended up on oxygen for a couple of hours after he came out, but now he's healthy as a horse.
As far as labor went -- my water broke at 2am, and I went to the hospital right away because I'm GBS positive. The contractions started right after my water broke, and they were 2 mins apart right away. By the time we got to the hospital 20 mins later, I was already at 6cms. From water breaking to baby coming out, it was less than 8 hours -- so it did go really, really fast. Much faster than the induction I had with my stillbirth. So I'm thinking maybe it did act more like a second delivery.
I wish you all the best of luck to a healthy and happy baby, and an uneventful delivery! If there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free. =)
Hey, this is one of the mods from the stepparenting group you requested to join. I'm going to briefly need access to your friends only entries so that we can check to make sure you are who you say you are. It's pretty standard with FO journals with new apps. Most of the ladies like to keep their personal lives private, and don't want anyone fake reading the things they write. As soon as I check it out you can unfriend me. Thanks!
