My friend, Carol has moved over here and is working for hubby so have been spending lots of time with her. She has worked for him for the last 8 years or so in Australia and is in a similar position here and loving it. ( Read more... )

Yes, it is pretty amazing. I'm going to a Cultural Awareness program every week for 2 hours and learning the Fijian language and all about the culture of Fiji and all the surroung island countries. It's fascinating.

Wow, that's absolutely amazing, Judy. Do you spend that much time in Figi, or do you just love to learn new and exciting things?

Hubby is working here for another 15 months or so. I'll be travelling back and forth. Home at Easter and probably won't come back till July after my trip o/s to the Con and to see my daughter/Adam in London.

I have video but it's too dark to post and I don't know how to. Yes, it's made a difference having her here.

You described all this beautifully to me, but the pics are even more beautiful than I imagined. Even the fire pic is stunning, despite the dark. Thanks for showing something so lovely. Helps to brighten the dreary rainy cold evening we are having here. LOL! Lori is getting some much needed sleep after her 12 hour plane ride from Korea to here so I thought I'd catch up on the Journals. Glad I didn't miss this. Thanks so much for sharing, Judy. Warmest hugs, Grammy

Say hello to her for me. I've been thinking about you both. Been out snorkelling today. Perfect weather and a few pretty fish but Baz left the underwater camera at home. Grrrr.
