So the cyclone has bypassed us but there's still rain forecast for the next five days. I'm currently wasting money on hold trying to ring the airport to reschedule the kids' flights. I don't have much hope as there are people who have had their flights cancelled. Coincidentally the cyclone is called Daphne. Thousands have lost everything and roads

Glad to hear that you all are all right, Judy. But I'm so very sorry for those whose lives are not all right right now. To have almost nothing, and then to lose even that -- it's just heartbreaking.

I'm so glad to hear everyone in your family is safe. Island living is always risky. I survived many typhoons when I was growing up in the Philippines. I hope everything works out for you over there.

The cyclone blew out to sea. This has been Fiji's worst weather ever. Off home on the weekend. Can't wait.
