I know; sounded like an "Onion" thing to me too.

My nurse during the procedure today said nurses didn't need a bailout (she felt they were doing very well in this economy), but most patients probably did. This after I explained to her that I was having the procedure so soon after turning 50 because the copay goes up next year.

Afterward, in an unrelated trip to the pharmacy, the woman ahead of me in line said, "Oh, I have no insurance" and then started carefully counting out a mountain of bills for a script.
