But when you compare those two to Fox News....they do offer more actual news.
I think the reason the shows are so funny is because they do actually research stories, like when Jon Stewart dug up old footage of Karl Rove smack talking Tim Kaine and comparing it to how he praised Sarah Palin....that's not really satire; that's just doing the dirty work and finding the stories that the mainstream media doesn't bother with. I dunno, I feel like I'm more likely to find out the truth from these guys than most news networks.
Ya but entertainment is entertainment. You can't really look at 2 shows on comedy central and say just because their writers do a little bit of youtube watching and dug up some dirt its really "News." I love both Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, but I would never watch their shows for news purposes, and just like O'Rielly, they serve an agenda, and even though I agree with Stewart and Colbert, it doesnt mean I can subjectively say they give you more real news. Objectively, none of them are really "News." Then again how hard is it to objectively give the news? Incredibly.
Not that I dont agree with you, but as someone who is trying to look at this objectively, I cant say they offer the most objective and true news and review of what happens in our government and economy.
