Standing the Test of Time - Chapter 4: The Bite

Feb 07, 2015 13:48

Took me too long to get this out. I blame school for being busy and other games (particularly Tropico 4 and 5) for being so addictive. Anyway, the most important thing is that Chapter 4 is finally up and running. As always, click the image to take you to the story.

[Spoiler (click to open)]It was definitely a good call that they noticed in the first place.

You've made a good point that Vlastimir and Sanjay should've called their wives before entering the house instead of once they entered it. That would mean more manpower against Andy, though they could be overprotective of them to some extent. It was indeed great that Priya showed up in time to rescue them, so it was a thumbs up for her.

Yup. They're zombies, so dark elf magic is no doubt powerful.

Yeah, Andy really is overconfident in himself that he underestimates things, ranging from his boss to a mission he thought he could handle all by himself. He may be a dark elf, which I'll explore more later as the story progresses, but that doesn't mean that he's better than everyone else. He hates humans so much that he wants to eliminate as many of them as possible, even if his superiors have draconian rules. Probably should've explored that.

>.< I should've known that it's not right for Mowgli to find Andy all by himself. I have to admit that I'm still a relative

Heh, well I mostly meant that it wasn't a great idea from Mowgli's parents to let him go investigate by himself. :)

As for writing, these things happen, and what's nice about a continuing story, is that you can always try to patch them up later on! (Maybe, say, Priya and Sanjay were too much in shock to realize what Mowgli was up to before he was already out there?) I know I have with errors I've noticed too late. And fortunately, in ten generations there's plenty of time to tune the writing, too. :)
