Love is completely intangible. There's no solid description of it that fully encompasses what it is that someone who's not in love can understand. That's why it works so well in poetry.
Think of how you love your family members. Think of your strongest platonic love. It's almost exactly like that and with the addition of never ceasing physical attraction. You care immensely for the person, never want them to hurt or feel bad in any way. You'd do anything for him/her. You try your damnedest to fix all of his problems. You start to care about every single little thing he cares about just because it involves him. Everything reminds you of him. Your day is instantly better when you think of him. But, I think, the most important part is that it's reciprocal. I strongly believe that you cannot love someone unless he loves you back.
That's still not it. It will never be described accurately. All I can say is, you'll know it when you feel it. It will be completely different.

Love is crying hard because your with them and even harder when they are not with you. Then when they really are not with you you see your world slipping away, fast without apathy, thats when you feel the different sides love has to offer ( ... )

You can't fuck up love because of what Liz said, the hurt and hard parts make the good parts even better. And, she's also right when she says that you can't know you're in love unless something makes it hard. Something has to be there to make it difficult at some point, something that would make you leave if it weren't love. And, oh, that person really will make you love yourself. No matter how much you hated yourself before.
You can only describe it if you know it.
