Two things in today's papers have made me literally laugh out loud--pretty uncommon.  First is that PETA sent a letter to Ben & Jerry's imploring them to use human breast milk instead of cow milk.  Second is this line from the NYT regarding the talks about the proposed financial bailout,

I took Natalie to the dentist last week.  She had an infected tooth and they gave her some antibiotics and scheduled an extraction for today.  The way she handled the whole affair cracked me up.  Apparently she turned down the laughing gas because she didn't see the point in it.  However, that didn't stop her from giggling uncontrollably throughout ( Read more... )

I tried out Google's new browser Chrome today, and I like it a lot. The interface is spartan but very functional, and the security features are promising. I've read that it's got a bloated memory footprint and isn't faster than Firefox, but my experience so far has been quite the opposite. We realized in CA that we had really got into a rut in TX. We decided we'd try to go out and do things more often.
