Bush wins!....I get a laugh out of the people who thinks he's "dumb" or that somehow a liberal waffler is so much better for this country than Bush. For the women.......Who do you think makes a better role model? Laura Bush or Theresa Kerry? Has he made mistakes? Of course he has but I'm not for sure if I would disagree wtih many of them ( Read more... )

Actually I voted Kerry, but do prefer Laura to Theresa, and I am a hardcore Bush-hater.
I also like deciding what to do with my uterus, which is one of many reasons I chose Kerry.
To each their own though. Kerry was at least right when he said how truly divided the country really is.

Divided? Really? Is there a chance that that's exactly what some want you to believe? Look at this map detailing county by county voting of this election:
http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/vote2004/countymap.htm

Does this map look divided to you or does it look like a sea of red (Bush supporters)? 95% of the map is red! Kerry only does well in very liberal, urban areas. This county throughout voted Republican and gained 4 senate seats!Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle becomes the first Senate leader in half a century to lose a bid for re-election.......Bush recieved more votes than any other President in U.S. history.

Michael Michael... I have learned the Bush vs. Kerry arguement never goes pretty...especially when you are a Texan and I am born and raised Bostonian!
I like you as my lj friend. Congrats your candidate won. It must feel good because the Kerry supporters are devestated.

Yes I'm happy Bush won but I really think the reality is that it wouldn't make a ton of difference either way. 2 canidates? thats ridiculous in a country of 300 million ( ... )

yeah but there are a LOT more people in those urban areas. Check the county by county maps in the red states. Columbus and Cleveland, the 2 biggest cities in Ohio, voted for Kerry. Sure the map was red, but look at the electoral number or the actual vote percentages to see the division in this country.

John Kerry's wife is down right scary, I really don't like her at all
as for who won, I'm old enough to know that no matter who wins nothing really changes that much...
