Monte, I'm sorry to hear that you took a chance and didn't get the response that you wanted. But I'm proud of you. You have been feeling this for a long time and yet you still try and pursue what you want. But here's a thought, Why don't you focus more on making yourself happy with what you have rather then knowing you will have happiness if you have a partner. I promise you one day you will get exactly what you want, it might be days or years from now, no one knows. So therefore you need to concentrate on what you have and what you have been given. Once you are happy with that and put the idea of having someone in the back of your head, that person will show up out of nowhere.. it'll be totally unexpected. And because you know what being lonely feels like and you have figured out what you have to offer to a girl, you will be the perfect person for her. Really, if you want my opinion, love is something that you don't go looking for, its something that finds you. Don't go looking for someone, wait til they find you. Like, in my situation, there are plenty of wonderful guys out there, that if you go by what every girl wants in a guy, they would fit that description. So why don't i have feelings for all of them? But IDK if you get it. I mean who hasnt been through this but I think the whole situation is different when your a guy. I think the whole love thing is more persue than wait I guess it's more like hunting than fishing. I think that both of you stress a really good opinion but I think as a guy if I dont try to seek what I am looking for and when I find it try to tell her how I feel and see what happens the opportunity of a lifetime coul pass me by. I think that maybe high school just osnt the time for me to date I have been seriosly thinking about burying myself in the other things that make me happy such as Band and Theatre so that hopefully I will become numb to being hurt or let down because music and drama are gonna be around forever.
