Sorry to hear you decided to move back... I guess this post summarizes the conversation we never had about why you were going to?

Your parents seem very... interesting... I only got to meet your dad for a couple of brief moments, most of which involved him trading sick jokes with your boyfriend...

If you can afford it, perhaps you might want to move back to Houston to get away from your family? From the reasons you gave, it doesn't seem like Houston is the problem so much as the problems you associate with being in Houston, such as having to worry about the bills, the errands, family, etc. Perhaps it might do you some good to get away from all of that? Perhaps live in the dorms (HBU does have dorms, right?) or something?

Yeah it does even though its only the tip of the iceburg bc there was way more stuff going on that I had to get away from.

Lol my mom isn't that bad usually. I'm really just shocked at her behavior. My dad on the other hand has always been "interesting", as you put it. I doubt he will ever change but maybe a miracle will happen and he will turn his life around. His DWI, etc. didn't seem to help that so I don't know what else will.

No, I do like Houston and I might move back there someday but I don't think right now is the time. I can go to college here for free and maybe even have extra money from TOPS( a program here). Plus I will most likely be living in the dorms. I was even thinking about going to LSU but I just haven't decided. I loved HBU but I just can't afford it on my own and I really don't want to take out loans when its not a necessity.
