My tanning salon suggests that if its your first time and you're pale, do about 5/6 minutes and slap on a load of baby oil or tanning oil to make you tan darker. If you're pretty dark you can do about 10 minutes but most tanning salons really don't reccommend you do more than that at each time. Build it up over a few days, leave a few days and then go back again otherwise you'll burn.
There's not much else to do really when you're on the bed. Just tie up your hair and relax. It can get pretty hot but don't worry about it. Also, keep hydrated. You might want to take a bottle of water in with you or drink alot beforehand because you can feel a bit headachy and dehydrated afterwards.
You used the same stuff for outdoor tanning as you do indoor. I reccommend Hawaiian Tropic or just baby oil. Srsly just slap it on so you're dripping in the stuff... but don't slip Dx [bad experiences]
