Where is the whip!?

Ok, so the new Castlevania for the DS is out and...its balls ass hard.

I'm serious, either I've lost the ability to play this sort of game within the span of a year (when I played and annihilated C:PoR), I've gotten dumber(plz without commentary on this point) , or they've made the game more jerk-reflex happy. On this latter point, it has been scientifically proven that people with good reflexes suffer from pre-mature ejaculation...so I'm still better then them.

The lead character this time is a women (another reason the gameplay may have gotten harder, in that anything dealing with women makes it harder for men) named Shanoa.

You don't use weapons...sort of. You now use glyphs (magic) and they form weapons. You also duel wield weapons (glyphs) now. Depending on which two you use, a new special attack is available. Also, these weapons can be chained together in a sort of combo. If you keep a fast (rapier)weapon in one hand and then a slower one (axe)you can do a sort of one-two punch like combo that eccentaly equals one attack. If you use two fast weapon glyphs then you can endless alternate them to wail away on someone. Each weapon attack takes magic now but magic regens once you stop swinging.

Over all I've very happy with this new Castlevania. Instead of running around in a single castle the entire game it spans out to different locations such as a abandoned monestary or a Alcatraz like island prison that is filled with dead inmates, etc.

Hard. As. Balls.

Atleast untill I get angry and power level the shit out of the character and then walk through the rest of the game.
