I got an email from Netflix saying that my monthly price dropped to $16.99.  That rocks.  I'm really not getting anything less (1 less hour per month of streaming...but I never use that anyway)....but I'm paying less.  Hope that doesn't mean Netflix is struggling that badly ( Read more... )

I got the same email from Netflix! Isn't it a dollar less? Oh boy, a dollar!

As someone who works in a fabric-laden sector, care instructions on a label are really a suggestion--what they've determined is best. So if a label says "dry clean" you could probably wash it and get away with it. Dry cleaning is supposed to be "safer" than washing, but with some fabrics it actually damages them, which is what they're trying to get across. I'm sure your question was mostly rhetorical, but there's my answer.

doesn't showering also involve a lot of steam?

I don't know how dry cleaning works, except that to me, steam is not dry so I don't think it's a part of the process. I think dry cleaning involves a lot of chemicals.
