Yesterday I went swimming in Loch Raven again, this time alone. I went for the exercise. A couple watched me emerge from the lake, stinking and dripping, while they played with their kids.

"You're not human!" the man yelled at me.

"What?"

"I said you're not human! We've been watching you since you went in!"

"Oh, thanks."

"What happened to your dog?"
