a couple thoughts:

1) instead of email, snail mail or phone would probably better for this sort of thing
2) get a typewriter
3) job is nice, but ultimately your time frame is too limited to worry about it.
4) if you really want to do it, don't even use email. Also, you should limit access to tv, or shun it like the PC (newspapers for news)

I think you'll really enjoy it. I did this (for a month or so) but i often found myself watching tv... so yeah.
