To upgrade or bank it

I had planned to make some major upgrades to my house, this summer.  Due to some changes in my profession, I concerned about dropping the $$$ for these upgrades.

What kind of things are you doing to save money, but still improve your life or have fun?

What kinds of things are we doing or what kinds of things should we be doing? Different results entirely :-)

Spend the money to move to Taiwan and get a job with EVA :). I am spending my money on my education, which I think is improving my life and having fun, but it is definitely doesn't feel worth it every time I look at my bank account...

Just remember the tax deductions! Been thinking about doing a serious relocation. Not sure what to do with my property if I move.
