I think it's really easy to say that, you being a male and not having kids.
No matter how equal a couple may attempt to make their roles, the woman will always bear the blunt of child rearing. Studies have show that. Exceptions to rule of course, but there's the rule.
I don't think anyone realizes that raising kids is a full time job in and of itself until they have them.
So while on the surface I agree with you, I know that it's an entirely different story when one actually becomes a parent.
That is what i mean. That is my exact point. They don't realize it. That is their fault for not realizing it. I will not have any sympathy for a man or woman who bitches about their lives being so busy with the kids.
I guess i used a woman as the example because that is what i heard last. I wasn't trying to be sexist. Men bitch a lot about it too.
No matter how prepared one thinks they are for parenthood, it's a slap in the face when it happens, because no one can describe how much responsibility and time it takes to raise children.
You're right though, people shouldn't bitch. I do think it is a legitimate explination for being busy though. Probably the best one there is. But yeah, no bitching.
I honestly don't sorry. I really don't think it is legit. They have their lives and I have mine. I am just as busy as them with school, work, volunteering, homework, and trying to have a social life. If one can't handle being a parent then don't be one. It may be insensitive and prickish but I really don't want to hear the whining of parents. There are tons of great parents i know of who never ever complain. They are just happy they have their kids. I am just sick of hearing it. All this may be unjustified to you or whomever. I apologize for any insensitivity that may come across.
