The clamor, rattle, and grinding of various electronic devices: gone. The dirty, unkempt devices for horrible experimentation: gone. The smell of the overworked and unclean: gone. The 'huff huff' of an over-excitable pervert: gone ( Read more... )

Well, to be a good leader, I believe you have to have a great and caring heart!

*She clasps her hands together*

You must live not only for yourself but for your friends! working hard to keep the ones you love safe from harm, As well as protecting what you believe in!!

People like that are so cool!

Your question is as ambiguous as it is broad.

Of course.

However, the question can still be answered.

Perhaps, but ever fully?

Different situations call for different leaders. To lump them all together is to simplify the issue.

Of course, but there are certain qualities that all leaders must possess.

I... [Sniffs] I think a good leader is someone that helps his friends achieve victory through their hard work combined. They support each other and reach their goals at the same time under his commands. I think that to be a good leader, you have to be a good friend, first.

Very, very good, Hero Almaz. This, of course, we covered via several plot points in our game, but it is good to know you have not forgotten.

...You seem to be fairing...reasonably well considering the circumstances.

Well, it's kind of like what you said. I'm having trouble thinking of what this place will be like without Lord Mao, but he is also needed back in our own Netherworld by even more people. It would probably be selfish of me if I tried to convince him to stay.

Still, I... I am probably going to have some trouble getting over it, though... Mao... [Quiet sob]

I really doubt Overlord Mao left under his own volition, so attempting to convince him to stay would not have been an option. It was likely Overlord Baal's doing. Why he would do anything of the sort, I cannot begin to guess.

What do you intend to do from here on out, Hero Almaz von Almandine Adamant? You do not intend to do nothing but mourn, do you?

A good leader needs VISION and the resolve to do what needs to be done!

Vision and the resolve to see that vision to fruition...

Yes, both important qualities, I agree.

Power. For years my country was ruled by weaklings, spineless worms content to let the nation rot under the heel of an Empire.

The strong, the driven, and the ruthless are meant to rule. Everyone else is meant to follow. Wisdom means nothing. Kindness is a hindrance. Power is the only thing that matters in this world.

I am very likely wasting my time attempting to speak sense to one so inelegant as yourself, but my curiosity is getting the better of me.

What do you think of power found through wisdom? Through kindness? What of those that become strong because of these very things which you cast aside without a second thought?

What are you, simple? Strength in battle is the only true power! With enough raw force, all the wisdom and kindness in the world cannot stop you!

Tsk, tsk, tsk. No surprise. Close-minded, narrow view, such blatant ignorance and lack of elegance.

It may very well be in your nation's best interest for you to stay here. Pitiful, really.
