So an update that post that made the other day. My mother is home from the hospital I got her really late last night. They basically checked to see if she had a stroke but she didn't and said, you have aphasia (sp?) And sent her home

This might be a stupid question but if she has expressive aphasia, what caused it?

See that's my question! All they did was say "she has aphasia" and sent her home, I asked them; " did she have a stroke?" They said no, then I asked what caused. The Nurse, or the asistant to the nurse I can't remember, ask cute as she was said she didn't know but would ask for me.

I got a paper about her condition but all they did was say she had it and kicked her out the door. I still am seriously not sure how much she is faking if at all or not.

Aphasia is hard to fake but seriously, I would call them again and keep asking. There is a cause for it, it doesn't just happen.
