God Emperor of Dune by Frank Herbert
Black Sun by Edward Abbey
An Anthropologist On Mars by Oliver Sacks

I'm still working on God Emperor of Dune... I love the Dune series but by the time you get to this one, which is the fourth book, you're kind of treading on well-worn ground and so I haven't got that rush of 'oh, man! I gotta see what happens!' with this one, unlike the others.

I give Black Sun very high recommendation. I love Ed Abbey. Everyone should at least sample an Abbey book once in their life.

An Anthropologist On Mars is non-fiction. Its basically 7 case studies on people who by one way or another (disease or accident) have brains that see the world in vastly different ways than most people. As an artist, I found it incredibly inspiring.

I'm starting on Red Harvest by Dashiel Hammet.

God Emperor is crazy cool. It's just so intense and I personally had to keep reading it. Maybe not what was happening but how it was written or something. I couldn't put it down.
