Girls are like walking sticks? You mean most people can get along without one, and when they can't, one is easily found in most any undeveloped area, but it'll almost definitely be ugly? It takes a lot of effort, mostly involving various bladed implements, to make one pretty? The denser ones are better because they're more dependable, less likely to snap when you lean on them? In the short term a tall one is more attractive, but after a while you'll wish it was shorter? Adding various animal parts and rocks can make it more attractive, but also far more expensive? You mostly see guys with them, and the ones kept by women look a lot different?

Actually, yeah, that sounds like a great analogy.
