OK, in the promethius myth it was the individual Titan that sought to steal fire for man that got burned for it. Icarus might have been a better analogy, I often wonder why Frankenstein is compared to Promethius. If it was a mortal stealing fire for egos sake then it would make sense, but Promethius was a Titan stealing out of a sense of benevolence for humanity.

I am not an impressionable young boy, nor are you a smarmy white dog with a PhD. However, that's funny. Really, I'm hoping just as much as you that the time travelers do show up, I'm just not so sure they would advertise. I mean, the more people who know about time travel, the more likely it is that someone will go back in time and fuck it all up. Causality is a fickle beast.

Well, there's always the idea that changing events by going back in time would create a parallel universe. In that case, it wouldn't matter if you killed your own grandfather.
