Well I think that you should try to care as little as possible, even though if I was in that situation it would bug the fuck out of me. Whoever it was could have at least had the guts to tell you why you suddenly had to stop being their friend. I hope it wasn't someone you felt insanely close to, because that would just make it worse.
I'm still your friend though.

I concur with the 'what the fuck?' That's just not cool man!!
But in an attempt to "stop caring" you might just end up feeling bitter and, I must say, bitterness does not seem to be your style. Who knows, in time this person could realize they are being craaaazy, or at least offer you an explanation.
