It sucks, I wanted FFXIV to be great. I played it longer than I probably should have, but it really sucks. I'll wait for Guild Wars 2 or SWTOR, at least those Developers look like they know what they're doing.
My new rig comes tomorrow. I don't think I'm gonna even bother getting FFXIV. I'm just gonna play Cataclysm, I'll probably grab Guild Wars 2 when it comes out too.
It was as if they didn't want to improve on what they already had. Nor did they want to look at what is considered "basic" MMO standards in today's market. Pathetic release.
Eh, if you decide to play WoW (again) and roll on Zul'jin I can help you out.. although most people who quit aren't coming back till the expansion in a month and a half or so.
The game...made it difficult to do something easy in a short amount of time. Travel you could port...but you would run out of Anima quickly even with getting 6 per day. And crafting, albeit unique, was monotonous and annoying after you do it for 5 hours to get 1 level. And leveling melee/caster jobs would be reduced to joining a group of 15 people and zerging things down for best exp. So there was no real need for skill, just #'s.
There is more, but those are what stood out to me. Most people complain about UI, and lack of customization. I could live with that if the rest of the game was better than it was.
