Don't make universal statements. She's a product of a certain aspect of society. Plenty see the misplaced priorities present in that aspect and operate against them. We're not all "a sick fucking kind of people". I'd define that as rapists and murderers. All she mirrored was a simple self-consciousness prevalent in much of society. I know you're saying the mentality of society drove her to be pathetic, but, unless she's striving to be a model or ballerina, society didn't force shit on her. People take from the world what they want to take from it. What they decide to take isn't all that there is. She decided to take from it the idea that you're only attractive if you're a size 0. That was her decision. Her self-consciousness is a problem she took on, because she didn't have standards of her own to define herself by. She chose to be brainless and define herself by the standards of a shallow society. She is a product of herself, because she has never learned to take external influences in stride. I see no place for pity here.

I agree that it was her decision of what to take from life, but I disagree that we're not all sick. No human is incapable of judgment and comparison of others. No matter how outwardly righteous you, or many other people claim to be, the truth is that sick thoughts swim around our heads regardless. Spoken or unspoken, the words still exist and are still as ugly. Besides, the people that outwardly operate against it are usually types like this girl, and operate out of resentment. The fact that you mentioned "against" brings another thought as well: they're most likely placing the same kind of harsh judgment against their previous enemies labeling them as "shallow" among many other things. I see you've taken to that yourself

I agree, no human is incapable of judgment, no matter how hard they try. It's like a pastime for me, personally. Speaking of personal matters, as a side note, just because I call someone something with a negative connotation (in this case shallow), doesn't mean I'm implying that attribute is not native to me as well. Most times, it is very much prevalent within me and I would never deny it. That doesn't mean I don't have the right to still state its existence in others. They could turn around and say the same to me and there'd be no problem. I'd say yeah, how about that. It's never really a name calling game with me, but a matter of not being afraid to befriend inevitable hypocrasy
