I also wanted to ask you something similar- I'm in with a company called Melaleuca, who does all-natural, earth-friendly products that are proven (I think) to improve people's health. My mom and I bought a membership but the way you order is, you buy so many product points a month. We have a hard time making those so if you wanted to order any products with our order (rather than signing up yourself), that would be something cool to do.

The whole co-op thing reminded me, don't feel obligated or anything! The products are at www.melaleuca.com and remember, they are earth-friendly, and you'd be getting the preferred customer price.

But the end to that ramble is yes, I would love to do food co-oping with you. x)

I don't know why I never saw this reply until today! I'm so sorry! I will check out this website you mentioned, I like earth-friendly. I am hoping to start the co-op in a month or two. I have 4 people (including myself) I'd like to get more - but if not we can start anyway. Have you had a chance to look at any of the items?

i like the chocolate, and, well, everything! how would we do it? every person makes a list, and the common items get ordered?

Sort of. It's hard to explain... Yes everyone makes a list, then the lists are shared with the group. Say on your list is an order of blueberry muffin mix (which comes in a case of 12) & you only want 6, this means that 6 are available to whomever in the group wants to claim them for the order. If no one else wants any, we can order it & you take (& pay for) the 12 or you can wait until the next order to try again. If someone wants a whole case, that's fine. Or if two (or more) people have the same item on their lists then that's even better. Unless the total of their desired items is more than what comes in one case, than two cases need to be considered amongst the group (or those people change their desired number to fit the case total.)

Does that make sense?
