Fire and Water

Apr 06, 2006 01:03

There is nothing quite as luxurious as bathing by candlelight. Fire glinting of water and bubbles and skin.... a good book and warm contentedness. I have an image now that I may need to make time to actually paint. I'll have to sketch out the start of it just so is doesnt get forgotten.

My problem is that I always end up burning the house down....

'Course now it's all full of kids toys and such, but there's still enough room...

*looks at the extremely wide, but still standard length tub* No silly... I'm not too big side-to-side, I'm too big head-to-toe! *fwap!*

Mmmmm, add a glass of wine, and hopefully the tub is a good, deep one....

Yummy. I did the bath sans bubbles and candles last night, but I was reading Paksenarrion, so it was all good :)

What's really neat is when I was done with the bath I shoved all the candles to the head of the tub and took a shower via candlight too. Gotta was teh epsom salt stuff off you know. :)

ah...my favorite love/hate relationship. I usually do that about 3 or 4 times a day. Musically of course...I can't do visual art to save my life....lol

I dont have it happen a whole lot these days. Usually I'll get a nifty idea for a technique or patterning. Very rarely will I get a full out composition it goes on the page like this inpsiration.

If you haven't done so already, you should do some quick sketches of this now so you can come back to it. You describe a really wonderful image, and I'd love to see you do a full painting of it some time.
