Do we really regret more the things that we don't do?

I have a dilema, so i thought i'd try and do one of these poll thingies and see if you kind people could help me decide.

It's like this; I don't think i've had a summer without making it to at least one bike rally for lot of years. One of the ones that i always used to attend, but haven't for five or six years due to other stuff, is the Farmyard Read more... )

It's a difficult one, if you don't feel safe enough to go on your own then don't.
Can you just go up for the first day and decide when you get there if you want to stay or not or will that prove to be very expensive ?

It's a funny thing really, going for the first day might cost nearly as much as doing the whole thing and not much happens as it's only the evening really anyway. I would probably sit it out and see what the saturday brings once i'm there. I had wondered about going for just the saturday.

dont panic so much, if you dont enjoy can you not leave early? if you arent ready to do something a little new then leave it for a while. Is there someone else you can take along?

not really panicing, more fretting. the funny thing with me is that i can go somewhere and hate it at first because i feel all self concious and stuff but then get into it and really love it. so i would probably leave it late enough to find out if it gets any better, by which time i'll have had a drink and can't go home.

don't think there is anyone who could go with me either, i would stuggle with the luggage two up and don't know anyone with a bike who would want to go and i don't mind being stuck with.

the only new thing about it for me would be not knowing if there was going to be anyone there, i have been to rallies on my own, just always knew someone who would be there before. trouble with getting older is that you realise that you have been putting new things off for so long you will loose the chance soon.

This could end up being one of those times when you go somewhere that you don't want to/are nervous about and you end up having the best time ever.

That was one of my thoughts, maybe i should be brave and take more risks.

It could be great or an expensive disaster, so I'd only go if I was feeling up to dealing with the worst case scenario.

Is there much advance booking needed? If not I'd just decide on the day depending on mood.
