Side stand switch could be at fault. Take the two wires off the switch and link them together with a paperclip and try to start the bike. If it starts, then wire those two together for the rest of the bikes life

It was the clutch switch. It looked kind of thrashed and missing its boot. I used a 10amp fuse to connect the two wires and it started right up.
