i'm really not patriotic at all, but i do wanna stand up for america a bit here...america is not trying to please everyone, america has just accepted all countries. in many countries, if you are not native to that country, people just don’t like you. tons of people immigrated to america, and contributed their culture, hence the italian restaurants and greek restaurants and chinese restaurants...and so on. people with tons of different ethnic back rounds came to america while it was still developing...making it very diverse, unlike most countries. and yeah, we don’t really have our own food or dress but i think that’s because 'american' isn’t really its own ethnicity...unlike italian, irish, sweedish...and so on; which i think is kinda cool. like if you walk up to someone in america and ask then what is their ethnic back round...rarely will you find someone who is only italian or only irish or only german or whatever. where as in italy most people are only italian. so in my opinion we are kinda like a melting pot. and yeah it is
