I never sleep well before any big events. Like last night. I woke up about every ten minutes with the first page of my opening piece (Buxtehude) going through my head. I took the theory assessment at MTA yesterday. Nothing surprising. Heck, my Dad made up the test, so preparing for it wasn't hard. As I was waiting in the lounge with the other kids, though, it struck me how young they look. I know I'm only two years older than they are, but the two years feels like a lot right now. So... audition and interview

I've got a reputation in my family for having delayed reactions to jokes; someone tells a joke, everyone chuckles, then they look at me and wait until I burst into gales of laughter, usually anywhere from thirty seconds to a minute and a half later. We had Grampy's memorial this afternoon. It was a beautiful service. I haven't seen that church so full in years. Friends and old acquaintances from all around the province (and a few from even farther away) came to pay their respects, which I know would have meant a lot to Grampy.
