Longtime fans of BLOG will recall that I was laid off from my former day job last October. Terrific news, Bill!

I know what you mean about the retail. Same goes for waiting tables. It is mostly quite difficult and often thankless work, but on the other hand, a lot of the interaction is quite pleasant, AND you have the bonus of getting most of your pay immediately. It helps you remember that connection between working and earning money. Oh yeah, that's why I work! It's easy to forget that when we have direct deposit and we rarely use cash these days.
