dude, i was totally gonna recommend that book to you, since i just read it. check out Rollins' Get In The Van (if you haven't already) as well. it's brutal.

yeah i have get in the van, ive only thumbed through it but ill probably soon start to read it. from what ive seen it it looks pretty good. did you read all of our band.. or just the black flag/minor threat chapters?

I got that book for vanessa last year. She was going to read only the Sonic Youth chapter, but she ended up reading the whole thing, which prompted a quick purchase of Rites of Spring, and we mp3d her whole Fugazi collection.

Good times. You should read the whole thing.

i read almost all of it, except for Butthole Surfers and most of Mudhoney. Minutemen, Husker Du, the Replacements and Big Black are all really interesting (in addition to minor threat/fugazi and Black Flag).
