The choice of 'off white' is a difficult one.. I tend towards teh peaches and cream myself (but thats enough about my complexion..*rolls up laughing at own joke...wipes eyes* Oh i'm too much!!) You want something warm and that can be tricky with whites.

I envy you the new house decorating, I love decorating and designing living spaces, so satisfing!

I love auctions too but due to lack of space and transport I have to curb my aquisotory instincts. When i get a car it will be too dangerous to let me go to them alone!

Nice to see you dropping in to LJ land hun ;o)

Well girls....actually you wouldn't believe just how many different *off whites* there are..
and its being a real pain...
There are pinky toned ones....some have a yellow cast, or green...and don't even get me started on the brown/coffee/cappuccino flavoured ones...cos the list is bloody endless...
Tomorrow I'm going to lock myself in a dark room with a pin and the swatches and use the scientific approach..
Stick the pin in the swatch...
If you'd ever seen Trading Spaces..you'd know that's what Hilde does...
Oh and Pol !!!..very funny dear...keep taking the tablets....it worked for Moses.

Ah yes - the "off-white" debate. Been there done that.

When we moved in, I choose "Stealth". Got it at Home Hardware and I love it. Warm, not too stark and goes with everything. I have it in every room in the house. It goes with the paint finishes I have done and the wallpapers that we have put up. Ceilings and trims are all "stealth".

Go to picturetrail.com and look at our house pictures - el2003. There you go.
Glad to have been of assistance. *g*

Bill jumps into the convo.. I went to the picture site and it really must be Stealth; the ceilings and trim are invisible... *small joke of the military type there*
