Sorry to be back. Just been to the Bronze:Beta. Ack. Seems all the rabid ones are back. It was so nice without them. Shadowquest forgot to "ignore" and has been roasted... Makes it so miserable to go there. You said it - "who cares". But as long as they can torment others about nothing.. well - hey... entertainment. rant ended.
The annoying thing with that lot is they are consistant, tenatious (sp?) and quite staggeringly literal and pedantic! And they enjoy being that way! Which means that those of us with a more normal attiitude to the ebb and flow of on line life etc just get weary and give up. ( I have decided that there must be some cultural differences element to this aspect of the board as that is the only way i can begin to understand it. It seems that this nit picking and purposeful misunderstanding is considered demonstrable evidence of intelligence and education and affords some people a feeling of elitism. Alas as a key element of intelligence in my eyes is knowing what is worth getting excited about and what really, really isnt..i lack sympahthy for their cause *g*) It's such a pity because i used to love the Beata and i always thought we could just ignore teh disagreements..seems not! All the Brits that i knew have stopped posting and many of the Americans i liked have as well. As Bill said the other day, life moves on.. a shame though :o(
This is Jo agian..commenting about how much I do enjoy being corrected by my husband...don't worry everybody I'll get him back for it later..*grin* Seriously though I just wanted to clarify something... When I said *who cares*...I meant *who cares* that some stupid tart and James Marsters made spectacles of themselves at some convention.. I did NOT mean *who cares* that there are a bunch of spiteful, malicious, bitter, frustrated, bitches making the Bronze their own personal spitefest. Just so we've got that clear.*weg* Did you have something to say btw Ann...?..*weg*
Only that it's not the *boring* aspect that puts me off posting. It's the fact that most of my friends ('cepting you and a couple of others *g*) aren't there anymore. BUT certain other posters are! They're still lurking and waiting to jump on anyone they disagree with :/ Kinda makes it futile to bother :(
I've not been chased away completely though..just biding my time ;)
