I heart Truman Capote and BaT is one of my favorite books of all time...but man, I hated the movie. IMO, the altered ending went against everything the book was trying to convey. Feh.

I hadn't read the book before, so I'm looking forward to getting through to the ending. Because the book is set up in in flashback, from the intro I have an idea of the ending. We'll see what I think when I get through it.

That used to be one of my favorite books as well, until that damned song ruined it forever.
