Yesterday's Subway Observation

Going home from work yesterday in the Times Square station, I was heading from the Grand Central Shuttle toward the stairs to the uptown IRT when my out of the corner of my eye I see two people lifting up their tails to walk down the stairs.  After a moment, something in my brain pings on that most subway riders don't have white, fluffy tails that ( Read more... )

Yay! I miss random subway observation posts from you!

While reading this whole entry, I was thinking the very same thing as your last line. Yow. I spent yesterday evening at a nice A/C'd auction house rather than go home.

Oh jeez. I spent all day downtown in shorts and a tee-shirt and I was still baking. I hope those people drank lots and lots of water.

Every year, on my birthday, I make a special trip to the Kwik E Mart. It's special because I wear my Cthulhu helmet. So far, a grand total of one person has asked me what I'm wearing and why. Most people just stare when they think I can't see them.
