AWESOME. I will go to New York and that SXSW show, if I can. No LA or west coast yet either, so it's clearly not the whole tour. Weird about boston, though, they always get a good turnout here...
Avalon is the old limelight, right? That will be an awesome place to see them.

Def. Coachella. SXSW is SUCH A PAIN with the pass and all that. If I can get credentialled somehow, I might do it. I love austin though, and that mogwai show makes it tempting... Stubs is NOT BIG.
Dude, you were at Coachella? Fuckin' A, man. I've gone the past 2 years. My pictures from this past year are somewhere around here. TAF was the highlight for me, too. They tore shit up. I was really impressed with what they crammed into their 40-minute set, too. It didn't really compare in terms of their ~2-hour set from February at the Roxy, which really was magical - and yes, I hope that's the only time I ever use "the Roxy" and "was magical" in the same sentence - but the energy they brought at Coachella was just unbelievable
( ... )
You know, the BRMC album is... it's SO MUCH better than their last albums and it IS really good. I wanted to write an essay about just that. I think I'm thinking "wow, they made such a great record they should have gone the distance and become the new Dylan but it's just not there."

I've had some other magical moments at the roxy - Nick Cave, Beth Gibbons, the Faint, Les Savy Fav... there have been some good shows!
And yeah, totally check out that low record! it's their best in a long time!
