I just got an email telling me a new email address had been added to my paypal account. I almost fell for it but then I saw the address to report suspected fraud. You tell me, why would PayPal have a NetZero account to report fraud? Just to be sure I logged into my account and no new address has been added

please tell me you went and opened a new browser by yourself to log in to your account.

if you clicked on a link from the email, it's possible you gave the phishers your password.

just don't want you to get screwed.

I send all of those to their preferred email address for investigation.

The ones from Africa/Nigeria/wherever go to the U.S. Treasury for investigation. They've got a special email address just for that purpose.
