I come bearing a drabble.

Title: Playing House
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Angst
Disclaimer: No own, no happen, no money, no sue.

There was a time we knew each other. There was time when a smile or a frown could convey an entire conversation. There was a time when words weren't necessary. We knew each other.

There was a place we went once. A place where words weren't necessary. It could just be us. You and me, chasing each other and laughing. Falling down and making love. Our eyes danced in the moonlight, sunlight. It didn't matter. Time didn't matter.

We lost ourselves.

We've lost ourselves once again. The only difference now is that we didn't lose ourselves in each other.

You lost yourself in her and I lost myself in my refusal to see it.

We wear our wedding bands. We smile, kiss, share a bed. Play house with our two children.

But that's all it is.

Playing house.
