This is a programming thing, a pet peeve of mine. I keep an eye on it, and whenever it comes up, I always make sure to nurse it a bit on my immediate irritation

that's so stupid. why don't the c-sharpers or javans or whatever thing that is just write "private Baz foo = new Baz()" or whatever. if their language can't handle useful syntax for OO purity reasons then it sucks.

i'll stick with gcc's __attribute__((constructor)) thanks.
