"Big" is no doubt meant to refere to the DEGREE to which you're a supposed "dumb fuck" (as in, for example, "Bill fixates on height like a 'big loser'"), as opposed to MAGNITUDE (as in, "Bill's fixation has developed into a 'big complex'").
