so went to the consultant with mum the other day, well actually we saw the registrar but hey. and we saw the dietician - thrilling times!! she's been discharged cuz she's doing alright - got one last appointment with the dietician in 6 months time just to check it's still going ok once she's settled into school

The coeliac test thing... I asked about two years ago about having a test when I lost loads of weight, seemingly for no reason (although later it seemed it was probably stress!). I explained to the doc about lots of family members having it, and they told me that I'd be likely to have other symptoms if I had it, so I should be mindful of the symptoms as I was at increased risk of developing it, but at the same time I shouldn't be too worried. I was also told that because of the increased risk, if at any time I wanted a test, they'd do it there and then.
So, I guess it's up to you, but I'd strongly suggest talking to your GP about it before deciding anything. =)
Oh, and Harriet will tell you EXACTLY where you can eat out on a GF diet!! =P
